About this trip

We had a great time. Wonderful people, delicious meal at The Master's Hand, relaxing time, except the extreme HEAT, which we were glad for the air-conditioned large room and the gift shop at the Lavendar Farm.

Mystery Tour #4 2025

I had a great time. The DeSoto Hotel was fantastic!! The places selected for us to eat was ok- the Irish food was good but the entertainment was iffy.
My one suggestion would be- send the itinerary when you send the bill or before.
It would be nice to know what’s - what before the departure date.
Hope to do more bus trips.

NE Gorgeous Galena 2025

We had a great time. Our guide, Steph, was excellent and went out of her way to make the trip a positive experience for everyone.  Timing of events was the perfect balance of free time and planned experiences. 

I took a different Mystery Tour that started the same way, at Masters Hand. It would be nice if they didn't repeat places.  We all just sat around waiting till it was time to eat lunch. We had 3 stops on the trip.  Very slow paced.

It was a great tour! The people were friendly, and the food was delicious. There were a few changes to the itinerary, but that was perfectly fine.

The only issue I had was with the balloon classic—it seemed to just be getting started as we were leaving. I believe it began a bit late, and it would have been nice to stay a little longer to enjoy it. That said, I completely understand that we were on a schedule.

It was fun, mostly…just thought there was too much “downtime” waiting to see if we would have liftoff…especially since it was so hot…wish we could have done something else in between the park & the balloons…otherwise,Steph& the bus driver were great…as well as the group…lots of fun

I would suggest, if weather is unbearable again, best to consider a different stop right before balloon festival. Something inside, like John Wayne birth home and museum. Then arrive closer to balloon take off. The tour guide was great in making sure everyone got to air conditioned bus after the early arrival to field as it was too hot and uncomfortable. Watching the balloons was breathtaking. 

Our guides were well educated in the gardens and zoo and could  answer any question.  They were prepared to assist us in any way such as providing water.  I like that they stayed with us and kept checking in with everyone periodically to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.  Our safety was a top priority.  I would highly recommend Excite to others.

Lauritzen Gardens & Henry Doorley Zoo

We had a great time. Did not do the rafting but the trains were fun. Especially liked the Royal Gorge one. Provided meals were delicious. 


NE Colorado Rail & Rafting Tour 2025

We had a wonderful time and met nice people. Robert, our bus driver and Steph, our tour guide were great!!
The only complaint we have is the bus seats were very uncomfortable. That was disappointing since the bus was built in 2022!

I had a great time and the hotel and restaurants were top notch. No complaints at all with anything. Robert was a great driver and our tour guide Steph was superb. She kept us informed of everything we needed to know.  She was nice and fun and made this trip even more enjoyable. This is the second Excite Tour I have been on and I plan to go on the Balloon Fiesta trip in October.

It was a great trip!  Robert and Steph were very professional and attentive to all the people in our group.  We had four train trips and each one was unique and provide us with a beautiful views of Colorado.  We would definitely do another Excite trip in the future!

Our Guide on board, Alyssa, was very informative and gave us a lot of information about things around Omaha.  The 
Spaghetti Works where my friend and I ate lunch was delicious.  We had enough time to see everything.  I enjoyed the tour.
I would have liked to have gone to the Quilt Museum also but that was only offered on Wednesday morning and our bus did not arrive until Wednesday early evening.

It was a good time.  Our "guides" had never been to Orphan Grain Train before and knew nothing about it.  They could at least have gone to the website and learned a little tiny bit about Orphan Grain Train.

Awesome trip.  The Bible studies with Deb Burma kept us occupied between stops, and our chocolate tours were so good.  Lunch was outstanding with an amazing chocolate cheesecake.

Alaska Luxury Land and Cruise 2025

This tour of Hot Shops was very interesting and filled with opportunities to shop, and even to create our own piece of art. Our hosts were welcoming, courteous, and very helpful. I'm very glad that I signed up for this tour. The woodworking and glass blowing demonstrations were well done and they shared a lot of great information. The only concern I had was that getting in and out of the van was a bit of a challenge - an extra step would have been terrific - but even then, our hosts provided their help for all of us to get in and out safely. 


Could have used more time at most places. People were kind and helpful. Interesting. 

I enjoyed the bus ride and stores. When I booked the trip I thought lunch was included.  The only food that was included was a very large cinnamon roll.  I could not eat this because I have diabetes. I did take the roll to give to a friend. 
The lavender field was disappointing. It seemed like areas of new planted lavender.  This was explained. There was a nice film and a short walk near a planted area. The owner talked about different types of lavender and care/ growth. 
I expected. Lavender fields like I have visited in California and Washington.  
The guides were friendly and loved their jobs.

The trip was well organized and really enjoyed having the land excursion part of the trip first. Great cruise experience and having a smaller ship was excellent.

Very informative! I learned a lot about what goes on at Mission Central as well as inspirational messages from Gary Theis.

It was wonderful to see all the creativity! So much to learn as well. Time amount was perfect and the water bottle and cookie was a treat!

Wonderful experience! Both sites were peaceful and inspirational. Jim, the architect of the Holy Family Shrine happened to be the greeter there that day making the visit extra special and informative. 

The Cloisters on the Platte walk among the huge very well done stations of the Cross was also inspiring and very moving. 
 Excite guides were professional and personable. Very glad I participated in this tour. 

So much fun! Chocolate and Bible Study. The swag Deb provided was fun. The lunch was amazing. Buying so much chocolate to bring home and a chocolate tasting. Meeting new people. Great tour!

The day was hot but I would recommend this tour to everyone. Because of the amount of walking I would say maybe not both on the same day. I walked the unpaved trail at Holy Family Shrine and felt a spiritual connection. The Cloisters was beautiful. 

I believe I already reviewed this tour.  It was great!  I would go again.  The cinnamon roll was wonderful, the lavender ice cream and other items were great.  It rained so we didn't go in the field/garden, but that was ok as we saw a film and listened to the owner talk about the lavender.  The lavendar lemonade was delicious.  It was fun making our own choc caramel.  Comfy bus ride!

We had a great time.  Enjoyed the lavender farm.  The English lavender smells amazing!  I was disappointed as we were supposed to make candles at Master's hand.  Instead we dipped carmel in chocolate.  We also had yummy cinamon rolls.

Deb gave us an awesome and deeper understanding of the health benefits of dark chocolate and tools and resources on the goodness of God's grace and blessings found in his Word. Taste and see how good the love of God is that is found in Jesus Christ, his son!
Thank you all for a lovely experience and I hope to return to Nebraska soon and stay longer.

I enjoyed the trip to the Lavender farm very much and to the chocolate place too. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the two stops. The host and hostess were considerate. It was fun.  One question though I was under the impression that lunch was included, which I didn't think the treats counted as a lunch.

The chocolate stops were very informative (and tasty!).
Lunch was superb.  Tours do not usually have very good lunches if at all.  The food was great and the chance to visit with other ladies was enjoyable.
This was way more interesting than a history tour or a site seeing tour.  And WAY more tasty😋

This was a wonderful tour.  I love that while we were on the bus we did Bible study.  Thank you for a day of meeting new friends, enjoying a chocolate life, and spiritual growth.

Delightful excursion! Deb Burma provided outstanding inspirational and informative study while we were enroute to two different chocolate shops. Kudos to our bus driver, David and Excite guide, Kim (?). Both were personable and professional. 


Mark, the driver, was friendly, kind, and talkative, and seemed to enjoy visiting with everyone in the group. 

Sadly, the AC was not working from the start. He said we could switch to a van with working AC at our first stop, a quilt shop called Fabric Bash, but this was not done. It was a very hot day, and we were crammed in like sardines. The ladies in the back rows were very hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable for the entire trip. 

Last, the tour was advertised as "including lunch." It included bottled water.

Lincoln Quilt Museum

Deb Burma met and exceeded my expectations for this tour. She delightfully wove facts and delights of chocolate with faith in Jesus Christ. I appreciated the three stops we made. I would have preferred to spend less time at both chocolate stops, which would have enabled us to start a little later and end a little earlier, especially on the day the convention began.

I greatly enjoyed learning about and exploring the International Quilt Museum in Lincoln.

I could have done without the stop at Fabric Bash, especially to be able to spend more time at the museum. If this stop was added in order to delay our arrival at the museum, a better option, in my opinion, would have been to start the tour later in the morning,. Arriving by 8:00 was early based on where I stayed.

Having a larger vehicle that was easier to get into would have been better. It was also unfortunate that the air conditioning in the van didn't work.

I was most disappointed that our "tour guide" (driver) evidently didn't know anything about the museum. In my opinion, this was a failure on his part to research and be prepared to share information as we rode.

Our Alaska land and cruise trip with Excite was AMAZING. The itinerary allowed us time to see and learn so much about Alaska before we boarded our Norwegian cruise for 7 more days of Alaskan beauty as well as fun and food on board the ship. Steph was a great organizer, and we appreciated that each day when we were back on the ship, she arranged times and places for us to meet up. We loved our Excite travel companions and definitely want a reunion or to see them on another Excite trip.

We had a very blessed tour learning about the missionaries sent into the field from Missionary Central. Also it was interesting to see all the gifts received or donated for display there. The best and greatest blessing of all was to see and hear " Old Missionary Gary" speak to us Missionaries from many different states.

I had a great time traveling and touring the Orphan Grain Train. The guides were very helpful in making sure we were on the bus on time to arrive at our destination. They were both very helpful with all of our needs and kept us on schedule. I will keep Excite Travel in mind for future tours. Thank you very much!
